Katrina Kaif in & as ‘Seeta aur Geeta’

Katrina Kaif will be doing a double role in the remake of the yesteryear classic ‘Seeta aur Geeta’.

The 1972 film, directed by Ramesh Sippy featured Hema Malini in the double role; her performance in the film made her a household name in India and a superstar.

The film will be directed by Aness Bazmee, Katrina's favourite director. Kat, on a high as her acting skills are being appreciated at last, thanks to her role in 'Raajneeti' , has started scouting for meatier roles, it is heard.

Ash one of the heroes in 'Raavan': Abhishek

Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan says that,his wife Aishwarya's role in 'Raavan' is on par with his own and that of Vikram's in the movie

He adds that he and Vikram are happy to share the honour with Ash.Abhishek believes that her performance as Raagini in the film would surely surpass her best performances till date, such as Kalpana or Pushpa in 'Iruvar' and Sujata in 'Guru'. Ash will be seen in a mind-blowing performance in RAAVAN, Abhi assures.

Kites to premiere on Colors on June 27!

'Kites', one of the most awaited and hyped Bollywood film this tear, has failed at the B.O.

Though the Hrithik Roshan film was received well by the critics, the public did not take too kindly to the liberal spinkling of Spanish and English in the Anurag Basu movie.

Well, the film will be telecast in India, the US and Britain on June 27 by Colors channel. The rights of the world TV premiere has been sold to this channel. So, the film will be telecast on TV just 36 days after its theatre release!

Dhoom 3 being written: Abhishek Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan revealed that 'Dhoom 3' is on the way and that the script for the film is being written.

He said he had met Uday Chopra the other day and learnt that the scenario was being written. The delay is because the filmmakers want to make it much better than the earlier Dhooms.

The actor was doing a live chat to promote his 'Raavan', scheduled to hit cinemas this June 28.

Abhishek played a cop in the first two parts of the franchise and Uday, a reformed thief. In 'Dhoom 1', John Abraham played the anti-hero role, who with a team of bike-riders, steal from banks at will. Esha Deol was the female lead. The song "Dhoom machale..." was a huge hit.

I make money to make movies: SRK

The actor, known as the 'King Khan' of Bollywood, says that no longer he makes movies for making money.

Here is what he tweeted on his account: "My mantra for work changed five or seven years ago, I think. Now I don't make movies to make money...I make money to make movies," Shah Rukh posted on his Twitter page.

The actor has produced very successful films such as 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani', 'Chalte Chalte', 'Main Hoon Na" and "Om Shanti Om'. He is currently busy with the making of 'Ra.1', a suoerhero film in the Hollywood mould.

'Lajjo' was put in the backburner due to budget constraints. Mani decided to revive the project because of what he saw in '3 Idiots'. The film starred Aamir and Kareena in the lead and the amazing chemistry between the pair had excited Mani.

IIFA fest kickstarts today in Colombo

Though south Indian film industry has not been very enthusiastic about the fest being conducted in Sri Lanka, several top artistes from Bollywood have already reached the venue.

Salman Khan, Lara Dutta, Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Hrithik Roshan, Dino Morea and Boman Irani have confirmed their presence at the opening of the festival. Among those who would skip the IIFA festival include the Bachchan family, Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal.

A cricket match has been organised between Indian stars and Sri Lankan cricketers for charity purposes
